This morning, all my three websites were not reachable at times. I reported the issue to the support. They indentified a problem with the server and were able to fix it. "Selene's Shadow Realm", "Darkladys Welt" and "Modding on the Spectrum" should reachable without any problems now.

Good day, all!
Glad you got the issues with the sites fixed, Selene! I sometimes think disruptions in service are built into the system, just to give tech support something to do and a reason to remain on salary!
As for me, today I have a new offering from the Adventures of Etienne. This time sees Etienne and his sidekick Hador off to steal a giant gem - but they are not the only ones that have eyes (or hands) for it!

Hope you all give it a read and enjoy!

Yesterday, I spontaneously bought a book called "Der Energiekompass" (The Energy Compass), written by M.D. Matthias Marquardt, at the supermarket. It goes to the question why we're all running out of steam and tells the readers what they can do about it. I hope it helps me finding strategies that boost my limited energy levels.

I was not that productive in the last couple of days in the workweek because I couldn't focus good enough and distracted myself very often. So I decided to work on the weekend as well to work the backlog off as far as possible. Then the first symptoms of a cold showed up at Saturday hitting me hard unexpectedly. I felt too powerless to do anything (except going to the nearby mall getting things that I no long had in stock like pills against sore throat and cough syrup). I hoped I feel a bit better on Sunday to be able to work. I tried to drink enough and get enough sleep. And I indeed felt a bit better the next day. I worked 5 hours straight with very little distraction. Two days are left to get everything done until the deadline on Tuesday afternoon. Depending on how worse the cold can get I may need to delegate part of my work to my colleague, however I will only do this as a last resort.

Thank you
I will work from home until the end of this week because I don't want to infect my colleagues (initially it was planned that I'm in the regular office from Wednesday to Friday). I think I managed to enter a great part of the events for the events calendar. Less than 10 pending emails with events are left and I already finished the biggest ones. So I will get up early tomorrow to have enough time to enter the remaining data. I shouldn't forget the stuff that was sent to me by the classical mail (yes, it still exists
); but these are only two event programs. If you ask me, I prefer email over classical mail because I can organize it better and don't forget it less likely.
The other thing I did today was changing my mobile phone number on various platforms because I soon can no longer use the old number as the contract will be terminated in the middle of April (not by me, by the company who want to shrink their offer
). I know that I still have enough time for that but the longer I wait the higher the probability that I forget to do it.

Good day, all! Hope that all is going well!
Now, a new short squiggle for the week - just something to read over tea, coffee, or whatever! Last week I posted about Julius Caesar - this week I turn my attention to an American leader:
Teddy Roosevelt and the Charge Up San Juan Hill -

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, the data export was on Tuesday. All in all, it went smoothly. I didn't had to delegate any of my work to my colleagues and I managed to enter the remaining data on time.
I still have symptoms of the cold but they are not that hard anymore.
Yesterday, my new over-ear
ANC headphones arrived. They complement my collection of anti-noise gear like ANC ear buds, simple foam ear plugs and ear muffs. An acquaintance mentioned recently that I'm a walking recording studio
.
I found out that the Bluetooth connection of my phone is outdated. The buds work without any problems but the headphones are not as loud as the buds. I wanted to return the headphones. Luckily, I tested them with my tablet and notebook as well - they are loud enough. Then I connected the headphones with the phone via a cable and I experienced no issues with the volume. So it must be the phone's Bluetooth connection. I have two options: either I connect the headphones with the phone via cable or I buy a new phone. Or I take the first option until I have decided what phone I want to buy. I indeed thought of buying a new one from time to time because my current one is about six years old.
