I "reactivated" my Twitter account as another way to contact me. I turned email notifications on Twitter on so I will be notified if I receive a new message. Pretty old-school, I know. The pinned tweet contains another couple of ways to message me.

Initially, I wanted to delete the Twitter account because I don't use it. But less and less people are using email nowadays. You don't need an email for Twitter at all if you have a Google or Apple account.

This leads me to the old idea of integrating a social login extension into the Spectrum. Although I decided against it then (for the time being), the idea still has potential. This would be a topic for a poll, I guess, to see if more people are interested in it. But that's a task for another day ;).

Might not be a bad idea, but honestly I've already eliminated most of my social media accounts. I closed and deleted my face book account over a decade ago and it's still there even though the email associated with the account got closed at the same time... And now that you have to actually pay for twitter verification it's only going to get worse... too many spoofs and imposters for an old cats taste. But you're correct in assuming you should always try to be more inclusive not restrictive. It's a tough line to walk sometimes.

This morning I had a problem with focusing my eyes. I believe it was due to lack of sleep and hydration. After I took a break from the screen, drinking more water and tea and keeping my eyes closed for a moment, I could focus my eyes and read the text on the screen without irritations again. I never had this problem before so my anxiety was very high keeping me from thinking clear. That's why I talked with my boss and he gave me the advice with the break and the drinking. I will continue to monitor it.

The problem with focussing the eyes which I had on Wednesday morning didn't occur again since then. Nevertheless, I still will continue to monitor it and maybe I make an appointment with the eye doctor. My last check-up was years ago when I lived in my hometown so I need to find a new one.

Before I can implement the social login extension, I need to make sure that the forum still complies with the GDPR when I use this extension (e.g. changing the privacy policy accordingly) and test if the extension works with the current version of the forum software (it's not always the case with extensions).

I think I will use Twitter to promote for example interesting or helpful content of the Spectrum occasionally (and combine it with suitable hashtags like #mentalhealth or #socialanxiety). I could also talk about my projects on Twitter from time to time. For me it's an exercise to overcome my social anxiety regarding social media and maybe I feel comfortable with using other social media than YouTube someday.

Good day, all! I hope that everyone is having a good (or, at least, passable) day so far! Just posted a new bit of scribbling - taking a break from the usual historical subjects, I now turn to a recently discovered trove of treasures unearthed by my crack investigative team of researchers - Lost Stories - viewtopic.php?p=1432#p1432

I hope that you all have a really great day, and if in some very small and extremely minor way my scribbling has aided in that, then that is all an author can possibly wish for (well, that and a fat check from a publisher - LOL!)

I accidentally damaged the rubber coating of my new noise cancelling headphones at one point thanks to my own stupidity. I hope I can fix the damage with a matt acrylic varnish pen that has very little solvent (the solvent could damage the rubber coating further). At the moment, the construction markets only have a few in stock (I checked it on their websites) and I don't know when I have time to go to one of them. Well, in case these pens go out of stock in the next days, I simply could order one.

Edit: My mum agreed to drive me to the nearby construction market tomorrow. She coincidentally wanted to look for a repair pen for furniture surfaces. Afterwards, we go out to have breakfast.

[...]
Nevertheless, I will talk with my medical psychotherapist, whom I visit at the end of this month, about the problem with my lack of energy and motivation. Maybe he has some ideas how I can boost my energy levels which I haven't thought of.
Today, I had the appointment with my medical psychotherapist and, luckily, I remembered to ask him what I can do to boost my energy levels. He suggested that I should take more strolls to get going - starting with jogging would cause even more stress for my system, he thinks. In the last couple of days, I managed to do some longer strolls through the inner city. I think that I have a bit more energy available than I had at the beginning of March.

After the appointment, I called my mum to pick me up and we drove to the construction market as planned (but a lot later because I waited a lot longer than expected in the waiting room). And yes, I got the acrylic varnish pen :sn-2:.

It was too late to have breakfast so we ate lunch at the food court of a shopping mall which is not that far away from the construction market. We didn't stay long in the mall because it was too busy for us.

We completed our remaining errands at the shopping center in the district where my mother lives.

Doing the errands was too much for me. I needed about two hours to recharge my batteries by lying in the bed doing nothing, just keeping my eyes shut and let my mind wander. It was like meditation. I felt refreshed afterwards.

I was able to fix the damage I did to the rubber coating of the new headphones. With the water-based acrylic varnish pen (color of the varnish: a matt black) I applied several thin layers of varnish to the damaged area (before that I removed any fat residues with sanitizer so that the varnish adheres better). Now the damage is barely noticeable. Next time, I won't use any sharp objects to clean the grooves of the headphones :sn-11:.

Good day, all! Glad you managed to fix your headphones, Selene - and I can say with confidence that we have all borked things in the name of trying to fix them and then had to fix the fix - LOL! And glad to hear that about the walking routine that you started - keep it up!

And speaking of up, the conclusion of A Temporary Inconvenience is posted:

Enjoy!

Recently I have started a new mod, Shalidor's Legacy (not Shalidor's Heritage), and combined it with my thoughts about the Yellow Books and the 1996 game Tower of the Sorcerer (by Oz).

Long story short: You start your adventure in Shalidor's Maze (Labyrinthian) and when you exit the maze, you will find a Yellow Book, which may teleport you to Shalidor's realm. The location of this realm is unknown, it could be anywhere in Mundus. Your compass will not show north, east, south or west and you have to completely rely on your orientation skills. For now you will have to traverse 5 labyrinths, all in Oblivion Ayleid style, 3 labyrinths themed fire, ice and shock destruction magic, 1 alteration magic and 1 illusion magic, but I may add more (I think my first thought about 17 labyrinths is a bit too much, as the first one is already quite massive). Once you get past the first door, there is no way back!

Enemies are related to the labyrinth they are in. In the fire destruction labyrinth your enemies will use all kinds of fire destructions skills, and equally for the ice and shock destruction labyrinths. I haven't thought yet about the alteration and illusion magic labyrinths, but these might be required for the rewards in the end. First labyrinth (fire destruction) is nearly finished, only need a proper interior name for it.
