The missing photos where still there on Google Drive but somehow most of the links didn't work anymore. I uploaded the photos to Google Photos instead and hope that the links won't break again.

Now I have a problem creating an album. I must have forgotten how to create one!

Do you mean the albums on Modding on the Spectrum? If yes, you can create them under your User Control Panel > "Gallery" tab.
