Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Loredas the 25th of First Seed and a quiet predawn here on warm sands. Wage slaves rejoice the weekend has arrived. Anyway the blessed moons have set, the paths are closed, and it is once again time for Ah'vrie to tend the inn for our most honored guests. Excuse please while the ash pits are emptied and the fires rebuilt. A happy fire needs to breathe, but this can get a tad dusty, you might want to cover your tankards for a bit. Khajiit do not give refunds... There, much better no? Ah'vrie always likes to begin the weekend with happy fires. They warm more than the room as his mother liked to say. Now to wash the tankards, scrub the kettles, tend the garden, and clean the floors, but first we put fresh water to the boil. Ah'vrie needs his coffee yes he does.

Brew of the day is Capetown Espresso, and the biscuits will be Toll house in a little while. The ovens need to heat up first. Checking the hot sheets we have 49 new with the usual eclectic mix of bimbos, himbos, patches cheats and goofs. Let's see what catches the old cats eye today over a fresh cuppa... definitely a fresh cuppa.

"An enhanced Windhelm outskirts overhaul." And that's a bloody understatement.

This one you have to look at for yourselves. The old cat has been singularly unimpressed with most of the Windhelm bridge "fixes" but this mod really fits the location. Love it or hate it Javier knows how to mod. Other than some minor visual artifacts from the snow shaders, and a slight color mismatch with the stone used in the arches and the actual city, this could have been Vanilla. beautifully done, though like all of the JK exteriors you might expect a crap ton of patching, though in this case there aren't a lot of mods that deal with that location. Seriously worth a look. 3 cookies

And that will do for today. The ale was delivered on time last night, our fresh batch of mead is ready. Ah'vrie added a little more juniper, we'll see what people think. We're serving medallions of venison lightly marinated in brandy with a tart jazbay reduction on a bed of roasted diced potatoes and caramelized onions with an egg on top for the early meal. Kenny's body of work is rapidly growing (like a bloody plague :steammocking:) None have really caught the eye, but the old cat has been ignoring his work for months. This ones conscience is now clear yes it is.

Basically Garrett recreated Orbis from scratch but hopefully without a lot of the scripting and spawn issues Orbis had in the beginning. Worth a look if you're into buffing leveled enemies. Caution, this mod does add higher tier enemies from previous TES versions, so expect to run into shadowscales as an example. If you don't want to deal with invisible enemies that use conjured high level weapons you might want to rethink using this. The mod looks well thought out. How it plays in game needs first hand testing.

The old cat has to admit, this author has chosen the locations of the "Environs" series of dynamic mods very well. This is no exception. It takes the "dead space" of the empty warehouse in Riften, and turns it into an East Empire Company outpost. It also provides another general merchant in Riften which always comes in handy. This author understands immersion and has a growing body of work. The old cat may be adding a few of these to his build this time. Specifically, this mod, and Kolskeggr. This one gets a cookie

It uses a novel approach to implementing parallax, and while it is "compatible" with all snow mods, the author still recommends using the woefully obsolete BDS-SE version 2. Majestic landscapes is required because it supports the authors file structure properly.

Honestly the old cat is not sure if this is forward looking or a facepalm, but you really want to read the page thoroughly. Overwrite SMIM, or hide the SMIM mountain textures. This will need to be seen in game, parallax can be tricky and needs to be seen.

You'll need to use a little forethought before loading this seeing as it also changes temple interiors (bye JK) and alters the priest robes and existing AI packages for some vanilla NPCs, and adds new shrines... You even get an abandoned temple to renovate to the god of your choice, and can recruit followers. Well there's a lot of good roleplay in Skyrim, but this is a first... A priest playthrough"

The old cat recommends you think this through, and plan on a new game start. (The old cat won't be "slapping this in for testing") And obviously this needs testing in game, but This one really caught the old cat's eye. 3 cookies and tracking for now.
