My art therapy group finally resumes after a break of over a month tomorrow
(the break was due to Easter holidays and the group takes place biweekly). I'm really excited about it because I greatly missed the group.
Recently, I came up with some ideas regarding the participation in the forum that my team and I discussed in the background. This led to further ideas and one of them took more and more shape. We will make an announcement very soon, so keep an eye out

Before my mom got her first smartphone, I lent her my Game Boy to play her favorite game Tetris many years ago. Yesterday, I talked about
the first game I loved (Pokémon Red version) and I wanted to play this game again. She couldn't remember anymore where she put this old handheld. Today, she called back telling me that she found my Game Boy in one of her drawers
! I hope that the device and the cartridge still work.

I only got three hours of sleep the previous night because I wanted to crack a very hard nut: centering the desktop version of the new navigation bar which you can see at the very top of the board. The
extension let's you choose to show the nav bar either on the right or on the left side. All traditional approaches to center a div didn't work without necessary adjustments to other parts of the CSS. After a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to position the nav bar in the middle.
Let's see if I'm able to go to sleep earlier this night...
Edit:
I fixed the font color of the submenu items in the mobile version of the navigation bar (the text was hard to read).

I decided to give my user avatar a makeover.
Original version:
Updated version:
In Photoshop, I applied the Auto Tone to improve the overall brightness. Then I cut out the background and created a new one using the Difference Clouds and the Halftone Pattern filters and putting a color gradient on top. After that, I changed the color of the eyes matching the background and applied the Halftone Pattern filter to them as well. The aura comes from the Inner Glow effect.

Customize the Recent Topics section
Today, I noticed that the settings for the Recent Topics section weren't enabled in the User Control Panel. Now you can finally customize this section.
Quoting from the
changelog of the board:

- changes to the Recent Topics section: members can now control its position (top, side, left), the amount of displayed topics, the sorting order (by topic start time or by last post time), the option to display unread posts only and there's the possibility to disable this section completely. All settings can be found under User Control Panel > Board preferences > Edit display options.
My recent accomplishment
Some days ago, I began to spring-clean my apartment. I do it stage by stage due to my limited energy. I managed to get rid of old clothes and organized my desk for example.

Solution for my headphones/phone volume problem
Selene310187 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 9:36 pm
Yesterday, my new over-ear
ANC headphones arrived. They complement my collection of anti-noise gear like ANC ear buds, simple foam ear plugs and ear muffs. An acquaintance mentioned recently that I'm a walking recording studio
.
I found out that the Bluetooth connection of my phone is outdated. The buds work without any problems but the
headphones are not as loud as the buds. I wanted to return the headphones. Luckily, I tested them with my tablet and notebook as well - they are loud enough. Then I connected the headphones with the phone via a cable and I experienced no issues with the volume. So it must be the phone's Bluetooth connection. I have two options: either I connect the headphones with the phone via cable or I buy a new phone. Or I take the first option until I have decided what phone I want to buy. I indeed thought of buying a new one from time to time because my current one is about six years old.
R. visited me a few days ago and he suggested that I look at the headphones itself for volume settings which could be different from the phone ones. It turns out that I can control the volume of the headphones independently from the phone's volume settings by using the headphone's own touch control
. I will buy a new phone nevertheless, probably this year.
