An attempt to inject a little reality into the tempering system. You need oil to sharpen blades, Bow strings to rejuvenate bows, and sheet metal to fortify armor. And of course you have to craft the required materials. The old cat likes the concept from an RP perspective, but in truth, it just injects more tedium. IE: you craft sheet metal from Steel and charcoal, oil from different plants, and bowstrings from leather. Better than some, but still just adds extra steps. Thanks

Alright, where to start? The old cat has no love of the stupid CW quest line, and makes no pretense otherwise. There are several other mods that allow you to buy Hjerim without joining the war. This goes a step further and allows you to become thane without taking sides, but it also allows you to collect the crown without doing those quests as well. That can come in handy if you're doing an LOTD playthrough. Thanks, not for old cats though.

Not the first armor degradation system, but unlike most that reduce protection over time due to damage, this mod allows them to be destroyed and vanish. The old cat's only problem with that is the way armors are 'packaged' in this game. Ah'vrie can't speak for others, but he plays a survival game, and has been known to miss-time 4 blocks in a single fight. If that happened near the sea of ghosts you'd end up spawning armor just to survive the walk back to Winterhold or Dawnstar. The author has thought of this and there are 4 difficulty levels. The blessed moons have set, and it is once again time for this one to tend the inn for our most honored guests. Excuse please while the ash pits are emptied and the fires rebuilt.
