Re: Regulars' Table

I will continue to talk about my move here, as I want to move on from the topic of conflicts with the neighbour.

Yesterday, I received the rental agreement for the new flat and lots of other documents that I had to sign. Today, I handed everything over to the landlord. The landlord will then send my copies back to me. I have decided to give notice on my old flat on November 30 so that I have a month to move and do the renovation work. I will then have to pay double rent for one month, but in return I will have less stress.

Today, I celebrated a friend's birthday with my best friend and her coworker (the three of them are all coworkers). We went to a burger restaurant. While the three of them ate burgers, I chose a salad with goat cheese and sesame dressing for a change (the salad was very good, by the way). Afterwards, we went to a café. It was very quiet because we were the only guests shortly before closing time. After that, we went window shopping. It was a very nice day and the weather was mostly good.

Glad your return was stress free. Fingers crossed that's a sign of things to come. :sn-2:

I've been back at work for a good week now and have completed two data exports. Thanks to the support of my colleague and the fact that the organisers hadn't sent so many events for the respective event calendars, everything went smoothly without too much stress.

Good luck Selene. I completely understand wanting structure. The biggest hurdle to me actually retiring is filling my day. I'm almost there. I've re-invented my business from contracting /construction, to just basic minor repair jobs, I can pick and choose. I still need a reason to get out of the house and socialize. Being a handyman at the resort gives me that reason.

Sorry you still have to deal with the neighbors. Hopefully you can find a nice flat on the top floor in a quiet neighborhood that suits you. Fingers crossed. It's a pain in the rump, but the ultimate solution will be to literally 'find a place you can live with'

I wish you peace and luck

After six weeks on sick leave, I'm going back to work on Monday. I need some structure in my day and I miss my colleagues. I'll be staying in the emergency flat until 18 August. After that, I'll have to go back to my old flat and put up with the neighbour who was the main reason for my sick leave. A good friend has offered to let me stay with him in his house temporarily. The problem is that I really don't like being a burden on people, so I have a hard time accepting help. But deep down, I know I have to take a leap of faith.

The site was down for several hours for reasons unknown to me. I contacted the support but haven't received an answer yet. Now the site is working again.

Edit:

I got a reply from the support. They said that there was a problem with the server and the technical team was able to solve it.
