Still learning ...

Post by Altbert »

First: I tried to decrease the size of the pictures with Riot, but that didn't seem to work, and I could only upload the original full size pictures.

A hell of a job to create the statues. I had to adhere to the author's restrictions (mandragorasprouts). It was quite easy for some other statues, which are already in the game, but for their original meshes/textures I had to find a solution. And so I had to create an ESP/ESL with their file as master and use that as a master in my mod. It worked as you can see in the pictures, but I have no idea if if it is legit. If not, I will have to start all over again.

See my latest three images in app.php/gallery/album/16

Did you want to insert the images into your post? If yes, there are different ways to do this. One way is using the Attachments tab below the "Save draft", "Preview" and "Submit" buttons. After you have uploaded your image, click on "Place inline" to insert it into your post as a thumbnail. Another way is the imgc button on the right side of the posting buttons bar (the third last button). You copy the link of the full resolution image and put it inside the imgc tag. Let's take an image from your gallery as example. Click on the image to enlarge it and make a right-click on the enlarged image and click on copy image address (or something like that) to copy the URL of the full resolution image. The imgc will look like that:

Code: Select all

[imgc=400]https://modding-on-the-spectrum.com/app.php/gallery/image/111/source[/imgc]
The number behind the equal sign is the width of the thumbnail. I set it to 400 pixels.

It displays like this:

It looks like that you changed the textures of the statues. According to the author's permissions the modification of the assets is only allowed with his permission (example: Meridia statue, "Permissions" tab). So if you have his permission, you can include the modified statues in your mod. If you include the unmodified statues, it's enough to credit the author. I've found an additional information regarding permissions in the mod description:
Permissions: Please do not upload this mod on other sites. You are free to use my models and textures for your mod, as long as it's hosted on Nexus.
I haven't found any information regarding making the plugins of the statue mods as master to your plugin. Taking into account the permission snippet I quoted before, I don't think that it's necessary to do the plugin mastering.

Thanks, Selene!

It means that I can only use a few of the Deadric statues (Azura, Boethiah, Clavicus Vile, Mehrunes Dagon) as the other Daedric princes do not have a statue in the base game. If I want to use all the statues, I will have to (have) the mod uploaded to the Nexus.

I removed Sheogorath's statue just to be on the safe side!
