Hi Selene,
Avrie told me you added a Starfield section to your site so i thought I'd pop in and say hello. Been playing Starfield since it launched so haven't done much with Skyrim since. On one hand things are still in the very early stages as far as modding is concerned with Starfield even though it just had it's one year anniversary. On the other hand things are coming along nicely. Are you going to play it?

I moved your post to the Your Thoughts On Starfield thread because I think the topic fits better in this thread.
Regarding Starfield, I played it shortly after release until around mid-December 2023. Then I took a break that lasted about a year because, as I said in another thread, it became boring and repetitive after a while. Additionally, I wanted to play a few other games for a change like Cyberpunk 2077. Nevertheless, I have always kept up to date with Starfield. So I know about the improved surface map and the ground vehicle, and that the DLC Shattered Space will be released very soon. The latter was also the reason why I'm giving the game a second chance.
I'm not up to date on the subject of Starfield mods. But I can well imagine that there are now many mods that improve the game. I'm still in my first playthrough and want to keep it as Vanilla as possible. So I only a few mods installed like a script mod to call my ship and one that connects the workbenches in my ship with the infinite storing container in the Lodge. I haven't used any mods that come with plugin files until now because I feared to screw up my savegame with plugin that are created before the release of the Creation Kit.

Re: Your thoughts on Starfield
I wanted to know what level the character should have to begin the DLC Shattered Space. According to my research, the player only needs to have completed the first quest of the main quest, “One Small Step”. To deal with the enemies, a level of at least 35 is recommended.

My character is at level 23. So I need to do some grinding before I'm ready for Shattered Space. What things let me level up quickly in a short amount of time? Doing quests? Killing enemies? Crafting? ...
While I'm grinding, I want to do a few entertaining quests in between. Which ones can you recommend? Of the factions, I've started all but Ryujin Industries and stopped or paused them in the middle (I might continue with Freestar Collective).

Recommended level is 35 with the first part of the main quests already done. Basically you need to have gone off with Sarah and retrieved the second artifact. Personally I recommend you also have rescued Barrett, and met Andreja. This way the 'tutorial' has basically been completed.
Once you're at that point it's a matter of jumping randomly to a system you don't have a current mission at.

Re: Your thoughts on Starfield
Thanks for the more detailed info on how to start the DLC but that was not what I meant (I admit, however, that I expressed this somewhat misleadingly in the first paragraph). My questions were in the second and third paragraphs of my previous post. The first question was about how to level up faster and the second one was about recommendations for entertaining quests.

Re: Your thoughts on Starfield
Ah, sorry, I miss understood. I actually love the very early quests. Failure to communicate, ground pounder, and the mantis are a given. Of the factions I like the ranger quests the best. Don't pass up on the well quests either. They all add up.
As to quick leveling... Nothing and I mean nothing levels you faster than surveying worlds, and the cash adds up fast as well. If you clear the mission board in the lodge basement, you'll rank up skills and levels pretty quick, and it will undoubtedly trigger failure to communicate, which will trigger the Mantis... Those are a great start to any new play through
