I've finally managed to clear out clothes that are too small, worn out or that I no longer like. A large part were socks. I can't wear socks that are tight against my skin anymore. They have to be very flexible. I now have enough socks that fulfill this criterion. I put the socks that were too tight and the other discarded items, which are still good enough, in the charity collection bin. The clothes that were no longer good for anything ended up in the rubbish bin. I'm happy that I have enough space for new things again and that I can find my favorite items in my wardrobe more quickly.

I so need to do something similar. My closets are clogged with 'crap' I brought with me out west and haven't worn in a decade LOL. Congrats on getting it done. My turn, but I'm not holding my breath ;-)

Yesterday, I saw the second part of Dune in the movie theater with two buddies. Somehow I like the second part more than the first, however, I also think that I need to watch the first part again, because my ADHD brain forgot a big part of this movie (who was Jamis again?... ok, according to the Dune Wiki, he was the guy Paul dueled with). It's the same with series. One of the buddies was able to recall many details of a series we watched together (WandaVision). And I, in contrast, had a hard time telling the plot of the series to the other buddy, who hasn't seen it yet. After the two of them talked shop about movies and community service in the lounge of the movie theater for half an eternity (and I couldn't really contribute much), they took up my suggestion to go somewhere to eat something. We ended up at the Burger King in the main train station, which is right next to the movie theater (as it was already quite late when we left the movie theater, we didn't have much choice of restaurants). We said goodbye at the bus station. But I wasn't tired enough yet and watched a "few" more episodes of the anime series Log Horizon at home.

Today, my family celebrated the birthday of my grandpa (his birthday was on Tuesday). As always, there was coffee and cake, but one thing was different. My mom bought him two wireless telephones about two weeks ago (to replace the old ones) and I had the task of connecting the new telephones to the landline and programming the telephone contacts. Thanks to my brother-in-law's advice, I saved myself a lot of fiddling. Because the new phones are basically the successor model to the old ones. So all I had to do was plug the connectors from the old base station into the new base station.

I recently told you that I had cleared out my clothes. Yesterday, I decided to fill the gap with new stuff. I've found two normal hoodies and a zip hoodie. I rarely buy clothes by the way. So it feels even more rewarding to find something that fits.

My health insurance company has refused to cover the costs of rehabilitation sport because I have already used up the quota of exercise sessions they authorise. My objection was rejected on the grounds that permanent funding was not provided for by law and that the aim of "helping people to help themselves" had been achieved. The continuation of the activities in the group would therefore be my own responsibility and I would also have to provide financial support myself.

According to my research, the issue of personal responsibility is irrelevant. The decisive factor is whether there is a medical necessity, which is the case. In addition, due to my memory problems, I can hardly remember the exercises and therefore need a refresher.

According to a judgement, limiting the time and quantity of rehabilitation sport is unlawful. I am therefore very likely to take legal action against this decision at the social court. But before I do that, I will seek legal advice.

Edit:

I accidentally destroyed a glass full of wine. The wine missed the power strip by a hair's breadth. So luck in misfortune.

Edit 2:

The issue of "refusing to cover the costs of rehabilitation sport" has been resolved. See my following post on this

The health insurance company has just called me and told me that I should ignore the letter refusing to cover the costs of rehabilitation sport. It overlapped with the processing of the medical certificate that I had subsequently submitted. The health insurance company will cover the costs after all :sn-2:! They grant me 50 exercise sessions in 18 months.
