Regulars' Table

Glad your return was stress free. Fingers crossed that's a sign of things to come. :sn-2:

Today, I celebrated a friend's birthday with my best friend and her coworker (the three of them are all coworkers). We went to a burger restaurant. While the three of them ate burgers, I chose a salad with goat cheese and sesame dressing for a change (the salad was very good, by the way). Afterwards, we went to a café. It was very quiet because we were the only guests shortly before closing time. After that, we went window shopping. It was a very nice day and the weather was mostly good.

I will continue to talk about my move here, as I want to move on from the topic of conflicts with the neighbour.

Yesterday, I received the rental agreement for the new flat and lots of other documents that I had to sign. Today, I handed everything over to the landlord. The landlord will then send my copies back to me. I have decided to give notice on my old flat on November 30 so that I have a month to move and do the renovation work. I will then have to pay double rent for one month, but in return I will have less stress.

I'll tell a little about my situation right now :)

Here comes a lot of text, sorry

I am tired from yesterdays events and i am writing this sitting at my office enjoying a hardpressed 15 minute rest. Yesterday i started work at 7 a.m., as usual, but what started of as a normal 8 hour workday turned into a 12 hour workday. No time to head home after work as i was already late for band practise ( i play guitar in a couple of local bands). By 10 p.m. i'm finally home and can grab something to eat. I do some problemsolving in the mod i make for oblivion (a troublesome nif had to be tracked down and disposed of) and shortly after 1 a.m. i go to bed.

Right, so i wake up today to yet another buzzy day at work, but today when i get off work at 3 p.m. i'll have to hurry on to a local pub where the other band where i play guitar, have soundcheck at 4 p.m. and playing live at 5 p.m.

I can already predict that i'm going to be strugling tomorrow at work as it will be another late night this evening where i squize in some modding just before bedtime. I am not looking forward to tuesday next week either, as the choir i sing with (tenor btw) is doing a 3 hour long concert and i have no idea what songs we are doing because i missed a few practise sessions lately, (tuesday is every weeks choir practise day btw) i'll have to set aside a lot of time this weekend to rehearse for it. It amazes me how i get any work done on my mod at all sometimes and it should worry me how little i sleep.

Friday is the day i work out at a gym after work and saturday i usually have to do necessary shopping which means 1-2 hour drive by car each way, to the nearest big shopping mall, and walking around shopping for a several hours which is not my favorite part of the experience, well thats what living in a small rural backwater town is like I guess. Which leaves me only sunday to catch up on my sleep, and try to relax. Not complaining though, I know others have bigger issues and I should learn to say no to things :sn-5:

I'm glad that you still find time for the bands, the choir, and your mods alongside your work. If I would work 8 hours a day, I wouldn't have any energy left to work on my mods. But I have accepted that I can only work part-time. I can work overtime for short periods though, but working longer hours permanently will make me ill in the long run. I think this is related to my masking.

In the past, my sleep suffered greatly because I often worked on my mods until 3 or 4 in the morning. Then my neighbor robbed me of my sleep with noise pollution, causing me to develop insomnia. Over the last few months, the situation has improved: my neighbor has become quieter and I have my insomnia largely under control with the help of medication. As for working on my mods, I now make sure that I stop in time to get enough sleep. Of course, I don't always succeed. I then try to go to bed by 2 a.m. at the latest. Because I know how exhausted I will feel if I only get a few hours of sleep.

It was now the second Saturday that my mother had visited me to help me pack the moving boxes. Without her, I would really be lost because I lack experience. We got a lot done today, but we still have a lot ahead of us. Next week, I'll be clearing out more things like dictionaries (I can't even remember the last time I looked something up in one, since I only use the internet for that now), shoes, and electronic waste.
