Gooooood Morning Tamriel!
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Sundas the 12th of Frostfall and an overcast dawn here on warm sands. It's been raining all night and this one sleeps like a baby during storms, so apologies for being tardy. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the flame...
Our brew of the day is from Indonesia, and the biscuits are Ginger. Checking the hot sheets we have 50 new mods. Plenty of jangle, and patches, but not a lot of substance. Let's dive right in over a fresh cuppa.
SKYKLF released NirnRoot Sound Replacer.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161323
Okay...? This time it's chirping birds. For crimson nirnroot as well... Another for the pile. PASS
This next one... You'll want to read the page. Too early for old cats
Shekhinaga released Partial Form Patcher
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161274
"Dynamically patches overwritten visual and audio mods at startup."
Thanks? So this is a run time mini patcher, that deals with mods overwriting your visuals at startup... Must play hell with Dyndolod LOL.
SerenityZeroDB released two today. frostfall keywords for beyond Bruma, and an auto trigger for blessings of nature as a personal fix, but shared. Thanks
https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/Sere ... ameId=1704
And finally Rough Leather Armor - Revisited by L4zyWalrus
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161264
"A revisited version of this wonderful armor mod, offering both color variations in game simultaneously and optionally balanced stats."
The old cat has to admit, the darker varient is a subtle change, but much better looking.
And that will do for today. The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are swept and mopped. Have a seat by the fires and warm your bones. We-B-Open!

Gooooooood Morning Tamriel!
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Morndas the 13th of Frostfall and wage slaves lament the weekend is over. Hide if you can, or work if you must, it's Morndas again. It's a sleepy predawn here on warm sands. The blessed moons have long set, and it's time for this one to tend the inn once again. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the flame...
Our brew of the day is Arpeggio extra, and the biscuits are Chocolate chip. Checking the hot sheets we have 44 new mods in the usual eclectic mix. Let's see what catches an old cat's eye that doesn't jiggle. It was a jiggle sort of morning
AlhimikPh released VRAM Texture Analyzer
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161383
"This handy analyzer helps you understand how textures from your mods affect game performance. It scans mods, calculates how much video memory (VRAM) they consume, and shows where you can save to avoid lag and crashes. Perfect for setups with 100+ mods — you'll instantly see which textures are the biggest VRAM hogs and how to trim them down."
A bit early for the old cat, but looks interesting. Worth a read. Thanks
A wee bit of jiggle Hjartulv released 2 today. A Mjoll replacer and her body (NSFW)
https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/Hjar ... ameId=1704
An interesting look. A bit young, but the SMP hair choice is perfect. Have a cookie
And finally, this is pretty much the mod of the day Talk about your labor of love. The pictures were taken mostly without ENB or reshade *looks to the sky... Thank you!*
Wired1up released Modern Lighting Overhaul 2 (MLO2)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/160748
"Modern Lighting Overhaul 2 (MLO2) is a lightweight, performance friendly lighting enhancement that upgrades nearly every light source with realistic illumination"
This must have been a child of love and OCD. A lot of work went into this, and it was really well done. (Relighting Skyrim on steroids) The old cat can tell his interiors are going to be bloody dark. ToosTruus posted the few pics that tell the tale.
This needs to be seen in game, and it just might start the search for the perfect ENB all over again. Ah'vrie is looking forward to testing this. There's a lot of info on the mod pages, and the "MLO.ini" file gives you a lot of control. Thanks team, 3 cookie work
And that will do for today. The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are swept. Have a seat and the wenches will serve you. We-B-Open!

Gooooooood Morning Tamriel!
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Turdas the 14th of Frostfall and a quiet predawn here on warm sands. The storms have passed and it is once again time for this one to tend the inn. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the flame...
Our brew of the day is Arpeggio extra, and the biscuits are banana nut. Checking the hot sheets we have 36 new in the usual eclectic mix. Let's see what catches an old cat's eye over a fresh cuppa or two.
IdomeneusOfCrete released White Hearth
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/135581
"Snowcapped, fortified player home on a rocky outcrop between Riverwood and Whiterun."
Their 5th castle in 4 years. Thanks. Not for old cats. Lore friendly? right. Moving right along
JJerem released Medieval Markets
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161479
"Overhauls the markets in the cities of Skyrim, making them look and feel more lived in. With some new custom models."
Like the idea, but not in love with the new models. A definite improvement over vanilla, but evidently with a few havok issues.
Medieval Markets - Whiterun Fixes by SKYKLF
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161506
"This will fix some issues I noticed with JJerems new mod Medieval Markets in the Whiterun area. ESL" Thanks, This one doesn't buy meat off the ground LOL
Lysril released Whiterun Circle Trellis REMOVED
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161480
"Ever notice how much of your view is blocked by the stupid trellis fence?"
Wow, what a difference. This one didn't expect to like this mod, but it really is an improvement. Tracking for now. The old cat may actually use this. Thanks
kuroishitam released No Fire During The Rain
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161369
"This mod disables all fire sources in the outer world—such as campfires, giant campfires, fire sconces, torches, and unique fire sources in Solstheim—when it rains outside, for added immersion."
Not the first mod to attempt this. The last one (REF) was an annoying problem half the time. Hopefully OIF allows this one to work better. Thanks, needs testing in game.
And finally we have Dynamic NPC Hairstyles by JaySerpa
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/161062
"NPCs may change their hair dynamically as time passes, adding more life and agency to the NPCs in your game. You can also change or choose their hair yourself in an immersive way, provided you have a pair of scissors with you."
Check the requirements, it has a few. And in classic 'JayRim' style, it's fully voiced using re-purposed vanilla dialogs spliced. Now this is immersive. 2 cookies Jay, Thanks
And that will do for today. The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are swept. Have a seat and the wenches will serve you. We-B-Open!
