Regulars' Table

I'm glad to hear that you had a nice trip.

That's wonderful! I wish your brother and his wife all the best for their future.

I'm sure of it now. I ordered a new executive high back chair from Wayfair, along with an adjustable height footrest with massage. They should be here Tuesday. I'm ready to junk this chair. I can already feel the swelling beginning again, and I've only been home a day.
That reminds me that I should replace my ancient desk chair sometime. But other things are more important at the moment. I'll probably tackle this after I move into my new place.

I have now visited the doctor I usually go to (the other one was a doctor at the hospital). He diagnosed me with bursitis and calcium deposits in my shoulder. We agreed that we would first treat the shoulder with anti-inflammatory painkillers. The acute pain phase is now behind me. Overall, I can move my shoulder and arm normally again.

Tomorrow, I will receive the key to my new flat! I am really looking forward to it. :sn-13:

That's great on both accounts. Congrats on the new apartment. This is a great time to rethink your furniture. I'm liking the new chair and footrest I bought. Time will tell if it helps. It is better, I can feel that already.

I have a few war stories about doctors to share. But you reminded me of when i injured my back. I was 'funneled' to an osteopath by my insurance company. They told me they were going to open me up, insert a brace and screw it to my spine... only for 6 month s or so, and then we'll send you to rehab to learn to walk again... yada yada. I checked myself out immediately, and went to see my chiropractor, who said he wouldn't treat me until the swelling was down and sent me to an acupuncture specialist...

Within three days all the pain was gone, and I had full range of motion again. Not only that, the 'blind' acupuncture doctor, found a ruptured disk even the MRIs missed.

Skill trumps tech every time
