Current supported social networks: Discord, Disqus, Google, Steam

I integrated these social networks in the registration and login forms of the forum via the social login extension; they won't distract you from reading the posts and threads.


Making registration and login easier

The goal is to simplify the registration and log-in process of the board by using your social network account. So you don't need to bother about thinking of a password for your account on the Spectrum for example - the credentials are in your social network account already.


Improving the accessibility

To further improve the accessibility of the board, I also disabled the account confirmation via email. This means you have immediate access to the abilities of a member after joining like uploading attachments, your personal user gallery, private messaging, usergroup subscription and more.


How to use the social login

Once you agreed to the terms of the board in the registration form, the social login buttons appear at the top of the form.

Clicking on one of social login buttons will establish a connection to the social login service OneAll (oneall.com) and the corresponding social network. Type in your creditials of the social network you want to link and confirm. Your social network account name will be your user name on the Spectrum, however you can change the user name in the final step of the registration form. If you have assigned a user image to your social network account, it will become your profile image on the Spectrum (you can change the image in your User Control Panel).
